Its appearance is as powerful as a dragon soaring across the sky. Dragondola rises up and down repeatedly as it passes across the winter sky on a 5.5-kilometer course connecting Naeba Ski Resort with the Tashiro area of Kagura Ski Resort—it is the longest gondola in Japan. During winter seasons past, only skiers and snowboarders could enjoy this adventure. However, from this season we have prepared a special plan so that everyone can experience it. No heavy snow gear is required. Everyone can fly lightly through the air on Dragondola and enjoy the view of otherworldly white winter scenery.
15:00
Check-in in Naeba
Take some memorable photos
After checking into the Naeba Prince Hotel, take a few minutes to explore this large facility. The huge ski area spreads out before the building; there are a variety of dining options, a relaxing lounge bar and other food choices including a food court. You’ll also find many of the comforts and services you expect at a resort, such as hot springs and massages. It’s like a beautiful city where a luxurious stay experience awaits. When you find that special place for you, capture some memories in photos and video. You might discover a mysterious dome-shaped tent. Perhaps it will be dinner at the Whistler Café, where the specialties include Canada’s own poutine, piping hot and filled with cheese. Night slowly falls as you enjoy an evening with family and friends, bathed in the warm light of the restaurant.
8:00
Enjoy a buffet breakfast
You’re probably getting excited about the day that is just starting—but your stomach is empty. The hotel’s signature breakfast at Azalea might be just the trick. The menu includes fresh vegetables procured from local farmers, as well as the famous Koshihikari rice from Minami Uonuma. The chef, who is very particular about local consumption of local products, will be there from breakfast time to help show off the skills of his team.
10:30
Snowcat escort
In a search for views of the amazing snowy mountains, we head out on a snowcat to the starting point for Dragondola. It’s a journey of about 15 minutes, riding through the snowy fields with a sense of excitement.

Try skiing or snowboarding
You’ve come all the way to a famous ski area, so you really should try a little skiing or snowboarding. It’s no problem if you haven’t got any gear. Everything you need is available for rent, and right in front of the hotel is a gentle slope ideal for beginners. If you’re not confident, it might be a good idea to join a lesson at the ski school. Support is available in several foreign languages, so everyone can enjoy a day on the slopes.
20:00
Nightlife Naeba
Fireworks on the slopes are a regular weekly treat at Naeba. It’s a perfect collaboration with the twinkling stars high above. As you take in the splashes of color across the sky, think of all the fun you had during the day.
