The Taikanzan Observation Deck is the best place to sightsee in Hakone. From the northern side, you can see Lake Ashi and the mountains of the Hakone Outer Rim. On a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji and the distant Southern Alps. From the southern side, you’ll be able to see Mount Amagi and Mount Omuro in Izu and Oshima and Kozushima in the Izu Islands.
