New Arrival! Snow Scoot & Separate Snowboard Experience (FIVE.S)

This winter, an official corner where you can experience the “Snow Scoot” scooter for the snow and the “Separate Snowboard” for side riding with two boards will open at Naeba Ski Resort!

  • Snow Scoot is a winter sports vehicle where you control the handlebar, similar to a bicycle, to glide down snowy mountains. Unlike skiing or snowboarding, it is not something you wear but rather something you ride (straddle). Since you are not fixed to bindings, it offers a free, enjoyable experience.
  • Separate Snowboard® is an evolved snowboard that features two short snowboard-like boards attached to each foot for gliding. While it is ridden sideways like a snowboard, the use of two boards, similar to skis, allows you to walk while wearing them, providing a three-dimensional sense of movement and fun.

At Naeba’s Snow Scoot & Separate Snowboard Station, you can rent equipment and also take lessons with an instructor, starting from 15 minutes. Various options are available.

Features of the Snow Scoot

  • The handlebar makes turning (carving) easier, similar to a bicycle.
  • You glide by stepping into foot straps, but you are not fully fixed, making it safer.
  • With just about two hours of basic practice, you can pick up the technique, making it easy for those who don't usually do sports to enjoy.
  • Both children around elementary school age and older adults can enjoy it, regardless of gender.
  • If you are wearing ski or snowboard gear, you can enjoy the Snow Scoot without any additional special equipment.

Features of the Separate Snowboard®

  • It uses snowboard bindings and boots, making it easy to get started.
  • The two separate boards allow for free movement.
  • Since you can walk with them, you can also ride the lift with them attached.
  • The boards are lightweight and short, making them easy to carry and move around.
  • The board size is free size, making it enjoyable for everyone from children around elementary school age to adults, regardless of gender.
  • If you are wearing ski or snowboard gear, you can enjoy the Separate Snowboard® without needing any additional equipment.
