Osaka has many cherry blossom viewing spots, and cherry blossoms can be enjoyed in various locations in spring.
Osaka Mint – The Osaka Mint has a variety Cherry Blossom trees on their grounds and is open to the public for one week every year at the middle of April from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm (weekdays) / 9:00 am to 9:00 pm (Saturday and Sunday)
Kema-Sakuranomiya Park – This river side park, approximately 4.2km long, is located close to the Osaka Mint. Both banks of the river are lined with Cherry Blossom trees in full bloom during the spring.
Osaka Castle Park – The park surrounds Osaka Castle and is known as one of the most famous Hanami spots in Osaka. There are many street stalls in the park and tourists can enjoy a variety of local Japanese food.
Expo ’70 Commemorative Park – The park is on the grounds of the former 1970 World Exposition. The park is about 260 hectares and is home to a variety of flower gardens.
